Badu Calling: Invites “Philly Phriends” to The Bride

Fans of the Philadelphia’s Painted Bride shouldn’t be surprised to hear Erykah Badu on the other end of their phone this week.  She’s inviting music fans in the City of Brotherly Love to check out her friend Frédéric Yonnet at the Bride this Saturday, Sept 24 for two shows.

“I’ve been in the music game for a long long time and I’ve played with the best musicians around the world.  Frédéric Yonnet blows me away!  Every time we share the stage it’s something special” said the Grammy Award winner. “Even the babies love him,” Badu said when daughter Mars interrupts the call.

In a September 22 tweet Badu said “I blew it” referring to a YouTube that features her on the harmonica with Yonnet.
