Below are some answers to frequently asked questions we've received via email. Got a question?
Question: I hear an accent. Where are you from?
Answer: I am from France. My parents are French and I was born in Pont L'Eveque, Normandy. I currently live in the U.S., however, my family is still in France and I look for any excuse to visit.
Question: When did you start playing the harmonica?
Answer: I started seriously playing the diatonic harmonica at the age of 19. It was so comfortable and easy for me to play that I decided to stick with it. I started "gig'in" around Paris with some bands and eventually, I was invited to be a reoccurring guest on a national television show on Canal Plus.
Question: Why harmonica?
Answer: I used to play the drums but I got tired of carrying them around all the time. The harmonica is much more convenient and I like that I can take it with me wherever I go. Plus, when I was a drummer, I kept trying to play the melody and it just didn't work. I enjoy playing the harmonica because I can use various techniques to access notes, emotions and musical expressions that really move me.
Question: What type of harmonica do you play?
Answer:

I play "1847" and "Favorite" by Seydel. The stainless steel reeds in the "1847" are simply amazing. I prefer them because they are pre-tuned and easy to play right out of the box. The level of comfort I find on them helps me to better access the notes.
